What do I need to start working with Claro?

To partner with Claro, you’ll need:

  1. An active insurance license (or one pending activation in your state).
  2. Clear compliance standing: You shouldn’t be flagged on high-risk lists (like LEIE or state disciplinary reports).

Once these basics are confirmed, you can begin immediately. We’ll guide you through:

  • Carrier contracting (no solo paperwork)
  • ARC platform setup
  • Training tailored to your specialty (Medicare, life, etc.).

The process typically takes 2-4 business days if you complete these steps consecutively:
1. Initial Setup (Day 1):

  • Submit your details through our secure form.
  • Schedule a 30-min kickoff call with your New Business Specialist.

2. Documentation (Day 2-3):

  • Sign your agency agreement digitally via ARC.
  • Upload required docs (W9, Direct Deposit and Voided Check).

3. Carrier Activation (Day 3-4):

  • Meet with our contracting team to request appointments.

Need flexibility? We’ve supported agents through month-long onboarding—your pace, our priority.

Yes! We make transitions smooth so bureaucracy never slows your business. Here’s how we help:

No minimums to join, but be aware:

Some carriers require production history for premium contracts (we’ll match you with starter-friendly ones first).

  • New agents: Foundational training + low-pressure carriers.

You’ll have access to our support, new business and contracting team always ready to answer your questions and guide you through every step of your onboarding process. Whether by phone, chat, or video call, our team is ready and available to answer your questions.

How much commission can I earn?

Commission rates vary by:

  • Carrier (each has its own pay structure)
  • Product type (e.g., Medicare vs. Life)
  • Your production volume (higher tiers = better rates)

In our commission structure, rates vary based on the carrier, state, and whether it’s a new user or a renewal. For new user commissions, they range from $18 to $30, while renewal commissions fall between $15 and $30. This dynamic pricing model allows us to tailor commissions to specific factors, ensuring fairness and flexibility in our compensation system. As we prioritize transparency and customization, our approach enables us to provide competitive incentives to our agents and agencies.

You earn 100% of your commissions – we never take a cut. Payments come:

  • Directly from carriers (same as going solo)
  • Faster (we audit submissions to prevent delays)
  • Trackable in ARC with monthly statements

We process agent payments on a monthly basis, contingent upon receiving production from them for each carrier where they have generated business.

Timing varies by carrier, but typically:

  • Health Insurance: 15-45 days after submission
  • Life Insurance: 30-60 days

With Claro, you get:

  • Same commission rates as direct contracts
  • Advanced Commissions (access earnings upfront)
  • Dispute resolution if carriers underpay
  • No extra paperwork – we handle carrier reporting

Our Carrier Reconciliation Team handles everything:

  • Investigation to identify the issue (late processing, submission error, etc.)
  • Escalation & Advocacy
  • File disputes directly with carrier management
  • Provide all required documentation on your behalf
  • Transparent Tracking
  • Real-time updates in ARC’s Reconciliation Report
  • We advise on next steps if appeals are needed

Absolutely! With Claro’s ARC platform, you’ll have full visibility of every commission you earn, all in one place. Here’s what you can do:

  • View & Organize: See all payments by carrier, date, or policy type
  • Deep Dive: Check earnings per policy with month-by-month breakdowns
  • Export Reports: Download statements for taxes or performance reviews

It’s like having a 24/7 finance assistant tracking every dollar you earn. No spreadsheets needed!
